Frequently Asked Questions
How do we book?
We're glad you love what you see! Please enquire online or by phone to see if we're available on your date. Then if you like, we can meet up over a cup of tea to chat all things wedding related. :-) To secure your date, simply complete a booking form and return it with £200 deposit. We'll then meet up again nearer your wedding date to discuss the finer details.
How much does Wedding Photography cost?
All details of our packages can be found on our Investment Page, but our prices start from £1400 for a full day.
How far do you travel?
We're based in Ipswich, but cover all of Suffolk, most of Essex, as well as parts of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. If you're not sure whether we can travel to your wedding, please give us a shout anyway, you never know.
How long will you be at our wedding?
Basically, until you kick us out! :-) Joking aside, our full day package covers from bridal prep through to first dance and beyond. Whenever you need us, we'll be there. Only need us for half a day or for a few hours? Get in touch for a bespoke package to suit you.
When will we see our photos?
We like to say they'll be with you within 4-6 weeks from the date of your wedding. Sometimes it's sooner, especially for out of season weddings. Always happy to give you a sneak peek if you need photos for thank you cards, etc.
How many weddings have you shot?
10 Years. 150 weddings. Dozens of awesome sunsets. 1 collapsed wedding cake (not our fault). 2 tractors. 1 canine best man.
What if you haven't been to our venue before?
Not a problem. In fact we love to shoot at new venues. We'll always check out the venue beforehand and scout out some great photo locations.
How would you describe your style of photography?
The best way to gauge our style is to take a look at some of our galleries. We like to describe it as documentary photography, in which we capture all the elements of your wedding day, especially those naturally occurring moments that mean the most. You may have heard this described as reportage or candid wedding photography, and that's all this means: That we will be there in the background taking informal photos of the day as it unfolds. Don't worry, we also appreciate the value of the traditional photographs, and are happy to work with you to capture as few or as many of these as you would like.
Do you offer discounts for out of season/last minute/weekday bookings?
Short answer: Quite possibly! Give us a shout to check.
How much is your deposit and when is the balance due?
A £200 deposit secures your date, and the rest of the balance is due 1 month before the wedding.
How many photos will we get?
You will usually get around 500 lovingly edited high res digital photos. Often More. We can't help ourselves.
What if you are ill?
It's extremely rare, but should this happen, we are actually secretly a team of 3 wedding photographers, and if one of us goes down, we replace ourself with the third member of our team, who puts on a cape and comes to the rescue!
What's the benefit of having 2 photographers?
Some of the benefits are:
- We can be in 2 places at once: One with the bride, one with the groom.
- The day is photographed from 2 angles
- It's a great back-up in case of any technical issues
- We're cousins, so can read each others' minds
- Sam is a wedding pro, and she has been known to muck in and do bridal hair and make-up in an emergency, and has once rescued the band's gear from a flooding wedding venue!
- While it's not in the job description, our 3rd photographer once had to lend his trousers to the Best Man (don't ask).
All of that aside, if your budget only allows for one photographer, we have just the package for you.
